Florida allowed Naturopathy and licensed Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) until 1958, when the state legislature sunsetted the ND license in a move away from natural medicine and toward pharmaceutical-based medicine. This accidentally made Florida the worst in the nation on this issue, because it is only one of two states where Naturopathy is illegal.
